My Very First Post - Congratulations To Me!

So, this is my very first post. I need to give myself a pat on the back for finally opening up my very own blog. I've always wanted to share things to the world - experiences, photos, videos, etc. But, somehow, I had a hard time sharing my thoughts. Perhaps, it was because I hated writing. It would take me at least an hour to compose one good paragraph - collecting thoughts and arranging them in a way that made sense. I guess writing too is a talent. And like all talents it needs passion, honing and tons of practicing. So, now I start my practice.

I actually didn't know where to start. My friend said it's good to write about something that interested me. Or something that I am into right now. It's kind of hard to write about something that interested me because I am interested in a lot of things. I like fashion, music, movies, food, travel, tv shows, current events, etc. But I think among these things, I like fashion best. Men's fashion, that is. So, I think that's where I'll start.

My interest in fashion began when I was about 14. It was during the time when my high school friends and I would go to the local city mall to spend Saturday afternoons hanging out, checking out people, watching movies and stuff. It was the time when I started to notice people and wanted to get noticed. My friends belong to a well-off family. So, shopping for them was something that they enjoyed a lot. While I belong to a middle-class family. My dad worked as a banker and my mom worked as an HR officer for a soda company. For us, shopping came only during birthdays and Christmas. So, when I was younger, I didn't really care much about style and looking good. I was oblivious to the world of clothes, shoes, pants and jackets.

So it's thanks to my dear friends that I now have a quite lovely relationship with fashion. As a matter of fact, I am currently working on my own label. I remember when I was bored in class I would start drawing clothes that had a patch bearing my own brand, imitating GUESS's triangle patch at the back pocket of their pants. Only mine was more circular, sewn right in the middle of the ass.hahaha

I am excited about my line. It's actually men's clothing. I chose men's because I know more about this than women's. I wouldn't know what women want and look for in clothes. For now, I am starting by designing t-shirts and selling them online. It's a pretty decent start, considering I don't have to pay for any rentals and wages yet. Hopefully soon I will, once I get to open a real store. But before I do that, I will need to register my business first to make it legal.

So, my journey starts here. I will be opening a website in multiply in a few days, I am just working on a few  more things before I launch it. I'll keep you posted! =)
